My search for higher truth and personal testimony
For years, I felt a quiet pull toward a simpler life in a rural community. It wasn’t time yet, but I knew the day would come. A few years ago, that nudge became a clear call — it was time to make the move. City life might offer convenience, but it also breeds dependence on a system that doesn’t truly serve us. I could feel that grip tightening by the day.
Around that same time, I sensed it was time to step away from my retail business. The economy was shifting, and though it wasn’t obvious yet, I could feel challenges forming on the horizon. When several others in my field suddenly put their businesses up for sale, I knew I wasn’t imagining things. Still, no real offers came through, and that waiting tested my faith.
Then something unexpected happened. I came across some unsettling information about the true origins of Christmas — far beyond simple commercialization or emotional manipulation. The deeper I looked, the darker it seemed. It broke my heart because Christmas had always been my favorite holiday, full of warmth and meaning. But I had to choose: stay tied to what I now believed to be wrong, or let it go completely.
It didn’t take long. I gathered every ornament and decoration and put them out for good. The very next day, I received a serious offer for my business — the best one I could have hoped for. I knew in that moment that obedience had opened the door for God’s blessing.
From there, my faith deepened. I began studying Scripture with new hunger and chose to honor the Saturday Sabbath, just as it was written. It changed me. Though I’d always been health-conscious, I was constantly pushing myself, never feeling productive enough. The Sabbath taught me rest — real rest. It healed my body, my mind, and my relationship with God.
I came to see that the laws in the Old Testament aren’t chains—they’re gifts meant to protect and sustain us. For too long, we’ve been told those truths don’t apply anymore, but my life has proved the opposite. The more I trust and obey, the better everything becomes. Doors open, guidance appears, and provision comes exactly when needed. That’s how I found the right home, the right work, and the right path forward.
But I also see that darkness in the world is growing bolder. Scripture warns us of times like these — when truth is silenced and faith is mocked. Across much of the West, laws are already emerging against free speech and even prayer. Soon, believers may face persecution unlike anything we’ve seen before.
My purpose now is to help others who feel this same calling — those who want to come under God’s protection and learn how to stand lawfully and peacefully apart from the Babylonian system of control. There are ways, grounded in both faith and law, to stay free of those traps.
As Matthew 5:25–26 reminds us: “Agree with your adversary quickly, while you are on the way with him…” These words hold a deeper wisdom — that sometimes, peace and truth walk hand in hand, even when the world grows dark.
